Bayern Munich have been dealt a double injury blow with Ismael Saibari and Serge Gnabry both sidelined following their 2-2 draw with Borussia Dortmund.

The pair were both forced off the pitch during the Bundesliga stalemate, with Saibari departing in the 29th minute and Gnabry following behind him two minutes later.

And Bayern revealed on Sunday that both players will be sidelined indefinitely.

Saibari suffered a ligament tear in his right ankle, appearing to twist it during the match, and he has already undergone successful surgery.

In a post on social media, Saibari said: "Surgery went well! Time to get to work. See you as soon as possible back on the pitch!"

As for Gnabry, he has sustained a hamstring injury.

Michael Olise also left the pitch after appearing to suffer a muscle injury, though Bayern gave no update on his condition.

Saibari has scored three goals and registered three assists in 14 games across all competitions since joining Bayern over the summer.

But Gnabry has struggled to make as big an impact in 2026-27, having already missed three games through injury. He has netted just one goal in seven appearances so far.

Bayern are also without Luis Diaz and Manuel Neuer, as well as head coach Vincent Kompany, with a Champions League clash against Atletico Madrid and Koln in the Bundesliga before the international break.
