Bayern Munich CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen has emphatically rejected the latest rumors linking Michael Olise with a move to Real Madrid, insisting the Bundesliga champions have never received any contact regarding the French international and have no plans to part ways with him.
Speaking at an event in Munich on Tuesday, Dreesen laughed off reports suggesting Real Madrid had made advances for Olise.
“We didn’t receive a single call, letter, or fax from Olise. Nothing that was said is true. There was never any contact from Real Madrid.”
The Bayern executive’s comments come after weeks of speculation surrounding Olise’s future, with multiple reports claiming Real Madrid were monitoring the 24-year-old following his outstanding performances over the past two seasons. Dreesen, however, made it clear that Bayern have not been involved in any discussions whatsoever.
He also left no room for doubt when asked whether the France international would remain in Munich for the upcoming campaign.
“Of course he’s going to stay with us. He’s a player we value highly and who has given us great performances. There’s no doubt about it, just as we said before that he wasn’t on the market. He’s a great asset for Bayern.”
Dreesen’s remarks reinforce the stance Bayern have maintained throughout the summer. Club officials have repeatedly insisted Olise is not available for transfer, viewing him as a cornerstone of the squad after his rapid rise since arriving from Crystal Palace.
While transfer speculation surrounding Real Madrid is unlikely to disappear anytime soon, Bayern’s leadership continues to publicly shut the door on any possibility of an Olise departure, maintaining that there has been no approach from the Spanish giants and that the winger remains firmly in the club’s long-term plans.
